Why Huntsville homeowners choose us
Concrete is a one-shot trade
Once it sets, it’s set. There is no going back and fixing it later. Here is how we make sure it’s right before the truck ever backs in.
Base prep isn't skipped
Most failures start underneath. We grade, compact and prep the sub-base properly — the work you'll never see is the work that decides whether it lasts.
Right depth, real rebar
Driveways carry vehicles. We pour to the thickness the load calls for with proper reinforcement — no shortcuts you'd only discover in year three.
Joints cut on schedule
All concrete cracks. Control joints cut at the right depth, spacing and time mean it cracks where we tell it to instead of across your slab.
We answer the phone
Callback within the hour, written number the same day. Most jobs are lost by the contractor who took four days to respond, not by price.
Weather-scheduled
We don't pour into a bad forecast just to stay on the calendar. North Alabama heat and rain both ruin a slab, and we plan around both.
One clear price
Written estimate with scope, thickness and finish spelled out. What we quote is what you pay unless you ask us to change something.
How it works
Four steps, no mystery
Hiring a contractor shouldn’t feel like a gamble. Here’s exactly what happens from your first call to the day we pull the forms.
You reach out
Call or submit the form. We ask about size, access and what's there now — usually a three-minute conversation.
We come look
Free on-site visit. We measure, check drainage and grade, and talk through options honestly — including the cheaper one.
Written estimate
A clear number in writing, usually the same day, with scope, thickness, finish and timeline all spelled out.
We pour
Scheduled around weather. Prep, form, pour, finish, cut joints, clean up. Most residential jobs run one to three days.
What FT2 stands for
Four principles, held since day one
Not a slogan — this is what we’ve told every customer since we opened in 2019, and what we still hold our own crew to.
01 Integrity
Honest, even when it costs us
Founded on a family business, not a franchise. If a repair will hold instead of a full replacement, we say so — even though replacement pays more.
02 Planning
Written plan, every job
We think ahead before the first shovel moves. A clear timeline and written scope up front means no surprises and no falling behind schedule.
03 Efficiency
Best result, least wasted time
Yours and ours. A well-run job site finishes faster, costs less to run, and leaves less room for mistakes to creep in.
04 Innovation
Always looking to improve
Better tools, better process, better finishes. We don’t pour a job the same way in 2026 that we did in 2019 — we’ve learned since then.
FT2 Homes LLC has been pouring concrete and remodeling homes across Huntsville and Central Alabama since 2019 — family-owned, locally operated, still run by the people who answer your call.

What concrete work generally runs
Homeowners want a range before they pick up the phone. Publishing one builds trust and filters out the people who were never going to buy — so your time goes to real jobs.

Common questions
What homeowners ask us
How long before I can drive on new concrete?
Foot traffic after 24 to 48 hours. Passenger vehicles after seven days. Concrete keeps gaining strength for weeks after that, but a week is the safe number for normal cars. Heavy trucks or equipment, give it longer and ask us first.
Will my new concrete crack?
All concrete cracks — that's the honest answer, and any contractor who tells you otherwise is selling you something. The job is controlling where. We cut control joints at the correct depth and spacing so the cracking happens inside those joints instead of wandering across your slab.
Do I have to tear out the old concrete?
Not always. If the sub-base is still sound and the damage is surface-level, resurfacing or an overlay can work and costs considerably less. If it's sunken, heaving or badly broken, patching is throwing good money after bad. We'll walk it with you and tell you straight which one you're looking at.
How long does a typical job take?
Most residential driveways and patios run one to three days — prep and form on day one, pour on day two, then cure. A tear-out adds a day. Weather moves schedules, and we won't pour into a bad forecast just to stay on the calendar.
Do I need a permit?
Some concrete work in Huntsville and Madison County requires one and some doesn't, depending on scope and location. We'll tell you exactly what your job needs during the estimate so there are no surprises with the city later.
When is the best time of year to pour in North Alabama?
Spring and fall are ideal. Summer pours need early starts and proper curing to handle the heat. Winter work is fine above freezing with the right precautions. We schedule around the forecast in every season.
Do you require a deposit?
Yes. A deposit covers materials so we can order concrete and get your job on the schedule. The balance is due at completion, after you've walked the job with us and you're satisfied with it.
Are you licensed and insured?
Yes, and we provide our certificate of insurance along with every estimate. Ask any contractor for theirs before you sign anything — the ones who get uncomfortable are telling you something worth hearing.
